How to Get to Calatagan Beach Cocoons CaSoBe

Our 3-hour drive started from Imus, Cavite and we just Wazed our way to CaSobe. You can do the same regardless of where you’re coming from in Luzon.

The best way to get to Cocoons CaSoBe is by car. If you’re coming from Manila, the drive will take roughly 4 hours, with traffic and stopovers factored in. The route is straightforward via the South Luzon Expressway (SLEX). Just take the Sta. Rosa Exit and then follow the signs to Tagaytay, passing scenic views of Taal Lake before continuing along the Nasugbu-Tuy Highway toward Calatagan. Along the way, there are multiple signages of various Calatagan resorts and beaches, but CaSoBe is easy to locate. Thanks to navigation apps for that.

If you prefer public transportation, buses to Calatagan are available at terminals in Pasay City. Once in Calatagan, tricycles are available to take you to CaSoBe. The journey might take a bit longer but is perfect for the adventurous traveler.

Checking In & Exploring the Cocoons

When we arrived, the laid-back vibe of CaSoBe was immediately felt. We visited on a weekday so visitors were relatively few. There were instances when we owned the swimming pools all for ourselves.

Coconut trees and lush greenery framed the sandy shores, creating a serene atmosphere. We were warmly greeted at the reception and quickly checked into our Cocoon, like caterpillars delicately tucked to become butterflies. Lol. The pod-like rooms were even more charming in person, featuring a small yet comfortable space outfitted with all the essentials. Each Cocoon had a plush double bed, air conditioning, and lovely interiors. The minimalist, capsule-style design was refreshing and made it easy to unwind and disconnect.

Cocoons are clustered together but arranged with enough privacy, and there’s a shared outdoor lounge space, a great spot to meet fellow travelers. Once settled, we explored the other amenities, including the swimming pools, beachside cabanas, and small eateries dotting the property.

Our Overnight Stay

The cozy feel of the Cocoon made it easy to settle in. Despite its compact size, it didn’t feel cramped—it was all the essentials in a capsule, with air conditioning and soft lighting perfect for unwinding. We spent the evening strolling along the beach, which offered stunning sunset views over the West Philippine Sea. CaSoBe’s beachfront was not overly crowded, allowing us to take in the peaceful surroundings fully.

Waking up to the sound of gentle waves and chirping of birds was a highlight of our stay. The morning was calm, and we enjoyed a cup of coffee. It was the perfect blend of camping vibes and modern comforts. After breakfast, the kids took a refreshing dip in the pool with slides.
