Beach Resort in Batangas - Calumbuyan Point

Calumbuyan Point: Nature’s Masterpiece

Calumbuyan Point, situated in the town of Calatagan, Batangas, is yet another undiscovered gem that promises a perfect blend of sun, sea, forest, and serenity. Emphasis on serenity. The place  provides idyllic setting for a lazy afternoon in paradise.

Unlike other beach resorts in Batangas, Calumbuyan Point sits on top of the hill with well-carved pathways that lead to the sea below. It also showcases an amazing infinity pool overlooking the azure seas.

The crystal-clear waters and lush greenery make Calumbuyan Point a picturesque destination for those seeking a quiet retreat. This new destination (3 years young) invites beachcombers who are seeking for a more laid-back experience. The gentle waves crashing against the shore create a soothing melody, providing the perfect soundtrack to one’s escape from reality.

How to Get to Calumbuyan Point

  1. Search Calumbuyan Point on Google Maps but you have to pin Playa Calatagan Village (because Calumbuyan is not yet on Google).
  2. When you reach Playa Calatagan Village, go further straight the main road.
  3. After roughly around 300 meters, when you see a blue waiting shed on the LEFT side of the road, turn LEFT.
  4. Continue driving for another 4 kilometers, following through Calumbuyan Point road signages. You will pass by Villa Zenaida Campsite, another resort. The resort is quite far from the main road and the trail is bumpy and uneven. It can pose as a challenge if you’re bringing a sedan, especially during rainy days.
  5. You will know you already reach your destination when you see the Calumbuyan Point signage and greeted by panoramic views of the West Philippine Sea. It’s a sight to behold!

Note: Avoid using Waze for finding Calumbuyan Point as it suggests a longer route through smaller roads. Opt for Google Maps.

Travel Tips and What You Need to Know

  1. There are no ATMs inside the resort so make sure to keep a stash of cash because credit/debit cards transactions are not accepted here.
  2. Bring supplies. Cook your own meals. A griller and a pack of charcoal comes with the package so bring something to grill!
  3. Aside from the swimming pool and amazing views, there’s nothing much to do in the resort so bring board games and toys for your little ones.
  4. Do not forget insect repellent and marine-friendly sunblock. You’ll need loads of them.
  5. There’s Internet in the area but it’s not reliable so bring a backup router.
  6. Calumbuyan Point has a NO REFUND policy. Make sure you’re already 100% decided before sending the 50% down payment requirement.
  7. Make sure to plan ahead so you can maximize your time in the sun, beach, and sand! Check this link of Calatagan’s tide chart for your reference.

IMPORTANT: The place is NOT recommended if you’re after a sandy beach or if you want to go snorkeling because when it’s low tide, you’ll have to walk kilometers away to dip in the saltwater.

Love. Eat. Wander. Says

An additional space for a small playground will definitely benefit the resort and the guests. We hope the owner can include it in future improvement plans.

As you venture off the beaten path, you’ll discover that Calumbuyan Point is more than just a hidden gem — it’s a testament to the Philippines’ diverse and awe-inspiring landscapes. So, pack your bags, embrace the allure of the unknown, and embark on a journey to uncover the hidden charms of Calumbuyan Point.
