Island Cove Hotel and Leisure Park – A Mediterranean-Inspired Resort in Cavite

Roughly 30 minutes away from Mall of Asia is this Mediterranean-inspired triple “A” (AAA) resort accredited by the Department Tourism. Island Cove Hotel and Leisure Park is idly sitting in an expansive 36 hectares of land in Binakayan, Kawit, Cavite.

Island Cove staff are amazing! They are all asset to the company. They all have that genuine smile plastered in their faces. When we were having a great time swimming, one of the maintenance even asked us how our day was. You can always count on them and they are all ready to help anytime.

This place has so much to offer from relaxing activities to exhilarating adventures.

The resort has four food and beverage outlets of various cuisines – Fishing Village, Sangley Point, iCafe, and Bayside KTV.

Their outdoor facilities include a basketball court; a tennis court; jogging paths and biking lanes; several playgrounds for children; and a giant chess set. The Adventure Zone, also part of Island Cove, is one of the largest paintball arenas in the country and an airsoft game site. Oceania Swim and Splash Park have 4 giant slides and giant inflatables. The whole water complex spans over 3,000 square meters!

If you prefer to stay indoors, away from the excruciating heat of the mighty sun, the resort has billiard and table tennis tables as well as a game room with Wii, Playstation 3, and Xbox consoles. And for the gym buff and body conscious, you can visit their fully equipped gymnasium.  For those who would like to relax and release stresses in life, the Island Spa is waiting for you! It offers various western and oriental massage treatments that will definitely soothe your being.

We ate in Fishing Village and iCafe during our stay. We can say that the food were a bit overpriced for the quality. The Inihaw na Bangus and Pakbet that we ordered in Fishing Village tasted awful. The bangus was no longer fresh, you know that “amoy-gilik” taste? It’s when you eat a fish and there’s a gross aftertaste that goes off your nose? Ahhh, that’s the best way I can put it. The vegetables in pakbet weren’t any good either. The eggplant, in particular, had uneven texture which made me think it was infested with worms. Yuck! They were the lowest quality possible. Good thing we had our Sago’t Gulaman to drown all the unlikely taste.

We would like to note though that we enjoyed the carrot cake and the coffee in iCafe. But well, anything sweet is delicious, eh?

What Can Love. Eat. Wander. Say About Island Cove Hotel and Leisure Park

We, at Love. Eat. Wander. definitely enjoyed our stay in Island Cove Hotel and Leisure Park! We love the Fishing Village (but not the food), the Hotels and Cabanas, the Island Spa, the Bayside KTV, the well-thought out walkways, the very picturesque surrounding, and most especially the kid-friendly Oceania Swim and Splash Park! The resort is very nice; quite larger than the other resorts near Metro Manila. You can never run out of space to wander around here!

We are confident to say that Island Cove is one of the perfect destinations for an easy escape from Metro Manila, whether for a quick day tour or an overnight stay. It is also a great place for events, socials, and conferences.

Thank you for dropping by!
